High winds from the north produced some interesting birds at sea including 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4 Fulmars, 13 Manx Shearwaters, 60 Gannets, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 5 Arctic and 7 Great Skuas, 5 Little Terns, 240 Sandwich Terns, 60 Common Terns, and 8 Arctic Terns.

A surprisingly successful moth trapping session at Hempton Marsh produced 37 species including Crescent, Slender Brindle, Antler and Small Rivulet.
