A good day for common migrants, with some more small parties of Pinkfeet adding up to at least 35, 150 Curlew on the grazing marshes, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 3 Spotted Redshank on the Broadwater, 3 Redstarts around the reserve, a Yellow Wagtail over calling, a Crossbill in the pines on the NWT reserve, a Siskin and a Redpoll over calling, 67 Meadow and 2 Rock Pipits. The day's ringing included 2 Kingfishers, 2 Redstarts, 12 Reed Buntings, 10 Meadow Pipits, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warblers, and 5 Reed Warblers among a total of 43 birds of 13 species.
