Holme Bird Observatory Monday 9th September 2019

Highlights today included 8 Shelduck, 48 Wigeon, 28 Gadwall, 200+ Teal, 1 Pintail, 107 Common Scoters, 14 Gannets, a Great Crested Grebe, 51 Golden Plover on the grazing marsh, 19 Black-tailed Godwits on the broadwater, a Greenshank, 10 Sandwich and 1 Common Tern, 7 Swifts were still present, with a Kingfisher noted, both Hobby and Peregrine were seen, with a Willow Warbler, 2 Stonechats and 3 Yellow Wagtails also recorded.
