Holme Bird Observatory Sunday 29th December 2019

Four White-fronted Geese were on the grazing marsh during the afternoon, and a Peregrine gave good views over the Observatory in the morning. A Woodcock was flushed at the east end of Holme village, and on the sea a drake Goldeneye, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, a Red-throated Diver flew west, and 3 Great Crested Grebes were seen. Also of interest were 2 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Rock Pipits, 3 Bullfinches, 70 Linnets, and around 40 Snow Buntings were at Gore Point with 11 seen from Thornham Harbour.
