CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – THURSDAY 5th NOVEMBER 2020

COVID-19 Restrictions on NOA Reserves Further to the announcement of a second lockdown in order to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, the NOA must once again close all hides on its nature reserves from 5th November. While we would discourage anyone from travelling too far during this crucial time, our reserves themselves will remain open for local visitors and usual charges will apply for non-members. Please follow government advice, and respect social distancing at all times. We will restore access to our facilities as and when government restrictions permit. We are very grateful for your understanding and support.

Holme Bird Observatory Wednesday 5th February 2020

Activity on the sea today was limited with a single drake Long-tailed Duck and Eider noted.
On the reserve two Bearded Tits were around the Broadwater edge and in Thornham Harbour the ten Twite were again around the Coal Barn and a Spotted Redshank was in the main channel.
